WEA Creek Ranch, we believe in getting back to the land. Back to basics.

My wife, Amy, and I have been married for 33 years and have been raising cattle since 2000. As newlyweds, we lived in the suburbs for several years, but as our three boys got older we knew we had to get back to our country roots. We bought our first farm down in Bates County, Missouri so we could bring our sons up with the same values we did: an appreciation for the land, nature, and easy country living. Those happy years involved a lot of dirt bikes, skipping rocks, fishing, hunting, and the peace of mind of knowing exactly where our food came from.
You see, it didn’t take us long to realize that a freezer full of beef -- beef you raised yourself -- is a sense of security like no other.

I believe every decision we make in life is for two reasons: hope for gain or fear of loss. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we learned something about fear of loss. For many of us, it was the first time we walked into a grocery store and saw empty shelves. It was the first time we had to stop and ask ourselves, “What happens when the supply chain breaks down?”

We need to bring the supply chain back home. My mission for Wea Creek Ranch is to give others the sense of security that Amy and I have enjoyed for over 20 years. That being said, a sense of security isn’t the only thing you buy when you purchase Wea Creek beef cattle -- this is where “hope for gain” comes in. You stand to gain delicious, high quality beef that is humanely raised and finished to your precise specifications, all at a lower cost than what you’d spend at the grocery store for the same amount. Furthermore, Wea Creek Ranch is more than a ranch -- we are a community. Our online forum is a meeting place to get connected with local farmers selling produce, chicken, eggs, and dairy products. You’ll also meet fellow beef enthusiasts to swap tips with and help strengthen your knowledge in the art of raising, finishing, and preparing beef. Or you can even find another family to split a whole share of beef with. We also offer a network of trusted, high quality butchers within a 60-mile-radius of the ranch. Like I said, we need to bring the supply chain back home. This is how we do it -- we do it together.
Last but not least -- if you want to get to know our family more, all you have to do is watch an episode of our reality show! Yup, you read that right! Many folks know me better as the owner of Max Motors in Butler, Missouri and the star of the History Channel show: “God, Guns, and Automobiles.”
There’s a reason Wea Creek Ranch is known at the “Home of the Happy Cows.” Our ranch has 450 acres of rolling hills and breathtaking views plus a 17-acre lake and a 200-square-yard orchard. The crystal clear Wea Creek flows through the property. We are home to a variety of wildlife species, click here to view photos.

In addition to hundreds of acres of pasture for cattle to roam, we have a state-of-the-art dual purpose, fully-lit corral. It’s important to us to provide a stress-free life for our cattle not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because it provides a better-tasting product for you. Studies show that cattle stress changes the chemistry within the meat, causing it become tough and lose its flavor. If you know anything about factory farming, you can imagine the persistent stress feedlot cows are under. At Wea Creek, you can always count on tender, flavorful beef from a source that takes pride in happy cows.
Alright, well enough about me. I hope you’ll join us and be part of our Wea Creek Ranch community!

Until next time,
